Governance documentation

The Parish Council is responsible for ensuring that its business is conducted in accordance with the law and proper standards, and that public money is safeguarded and properly accounted for, and used economically, efficiently and effectively.

In discharging this overall responsibility, the Parish Council is also responsible for ensuring that there is a sound system of internal control - detailed in the Annual Governance Statement - Annual return - section 2

Note: a full review of the Parish Council's governance documentation was undertaken in October 2015 and approved at its meeting on the 5th November 2015, excluding the donations policy which was approved at the 7th January 2016 meeting. All documentation is subject to an annual review that will be reported to the July meeting.
